Good evening. We went for an afternoon walk along Good evening. We went for an afternoon walk along the Paper Mill Trail in Lisbon today and came across these lupines blooming along the Androscoggin River. 💜

Had to stop and grab a few photos and even caught this bumble bee hard at work gathering pollen. 🐝

Enjoy! 😊👏

Good morning. Here are a few shots from last night Good morning. Here are a few shots from last night at Wolfe’s Neck Center looking out toward Googins Island as the tide headed out. 🌥️

The sky kept changing just enough and there was a little light filtering through the clouds to reflect across the mudflats.

Enjoy, and have a great day! 😊👏

Good morning. While out at Wolfe’s Neck Woods Stat Good morning. While out at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park for sunrise last month, I noticed several clammers out on the mudflats taking advantage of the low tide, so I thought I’d grab a few photos.

Watching them work their way across the flats with buckets and hand rakes was a good reminder of just how tough that job really is. Next time you’re enjoying some local clams or clam chowder, hats off to the folks who make it happen.

Enjoy, and have a great day! 😊👏

Here are a few shots from the bird garden here at Here are a few shots from the bird garden here at home from earlier this week. 🐦🐿️

This time of year is one of my favorites ( I think I say that all the time for all four seasons)😆 because there’s always something happening if you slow down long enough to watch. One minute it’s a chipmunk peeking out from the old stump, then a cardinal lighting up the trees, and before long a squirrel deciding the top of a weathered driftwood is the perfect place to sit and supervise everything.

Nothing rare or dramatic, just some everyday bird garden moments and a reminder that you don’t always have to go far to find things worth photographing.

Enjoy! 😊👏

Good morning. These are from Sandy Beach last week Good morning. These are from Sandy Beach last week during high tide where the Harraseeket River flows into Casco Bay. ☁️🌊

I actually went out this day specifically because of the clouds. I’ve always loved skies like this with lots of depth and layers where every few minutes the whole scene changes again.

With the tide up, that familiar rock became more isolated out in the water while the clouds kept building overhead and drifting across the bay.

Enjoy! 😊👏

Good Afternoon. Going back through some older phot Good Afternoon. Going back through some older photos and realized I never shared these from a couple weeks ago. Here’s a male Ruby-throated hummingbird from the bird garden at home. 🐦

Most of the time when I see hummingbirds they’re zipping around so fast it feels impossible to slow the moment down. This one spent a little time perched in the trees instead, which gave me a chance to appreciate all the details you normally miss, from the tiny iridescent green feathers to that dark throat patch that changes depending on the light.

These were taken late in the evening on a darker day, and I kind of like the softer, quieter feel it gave the photos.

Enjoy! 😊👏

Good morning. A few different warblers from a coup Good morning. A few different warblers from a couple mornings in May here in Freeport. 🐦

Warbler season can be a bit overwhelming in the best possible way. One day it feels like every tree is moving and singing at once, and the next they’ve already moved through.

From bright yellow Yellow warblers to the striped Black-and-white warbler, along with an American redstart and a Canada warbler mixed in, it’s always fun slowing down and seeing who shows up. Most are small, quick and constantly moving, which makes getting a clean photo feel a little like solving a puzzle.

Bonus points if you zoom in on the Canada warbler photo… I didn’t notice until editing, but it looks like the little traveler may have arrived carrying an extra passenger. 👀

Enjoy, and have a great day! 😊👏

Good morning. Here's a series of Eastern kingbirds Good morning. Here's a series of Eastern kingbirds from Florida Lake last week. 🐦

Eastern kingbirds may not be very large, but they certainly act like they own the place. Known for aggressively defending their territory, they'll routinely chase birds many times their size, including crows and hawks.

Most of the time you'll find them perched in the open, watching for insects before darting out to catch them in midair. It's also hard not to admire their sharp black, gray and white plumage, which makes them look like they're always dressed for a formal occasion.😆

Enjoy, and have a great day! 😊👏

🔙⌛ Today’s Memorial Day parade in Freeport may hav 🔙⌛ Today’s Memorial Day parade in Freeport may have been canceled because of the rain, but the meaning behind the day still remains. 🇺🇸

Sharing a few moments from last year’s parade and remembering what Memorial Day is truly about: honoring and remembering the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to enjoy so many of the freedoms we often take for granted each day.

I’ve always had a great deal of respect for those who have served, and especially for those who never made it home. Today is a reminder to pause, reflect, and remember them and the families who carry that loss with them every day.

Enjoy, and I hope you have a great day! 😊👏

Last night’s sunset from Lookout Point in Harpswel Last night’s sunset from Lookout Point in Harpswell. The sky never really opened up for a big burst of color with all the mid-level clouds around, but the calm water, comfortable temps and slowly falling tide still made it a beautiful evening to be out along the shore. 🌤️

Henry Allen’s Seafood and all the stacked lobster traps always make for such a classic Maine scene, especially with the little rocky islands sitting just offshore. I slowed a couple of these shots down a bit with longer exposures to smooth out the water and lean into how quiet the evening felt.

Enjoy, and have a great day! 😊👏

A really active morning at the lake a couple days A really active morning at the lake a couple days ago. The trees and reeds were full of movement with catbirds calling, red-winged blackbirds chasing dragonflies around the marsh, tree swallows zipping back and forth over the water, and a whole line of painted turtles out soaking up the sun. Spring has definitely settled in around here. 🐦🐢

Enjoy, and have a great day! 😊👏
